I first tested the current Seat Guru app to determine its strengths and weaknesses and overall user experience. From there, I researched the competition and a potential user base and created a user persona where I determined their frustrations and motivations with current flight booking apps. I then generated a content map on how the redesign of the app would flow. Next, I sketched out wireframes of one of the paths on my content map that would guide the user through finding and buying a plane ticket. In the final UI, my major solutions were to encompass a slider page to distinguish the importance of the users needs such as the price or their comfort as well as implementing a system where they can save flights for later and check to see if they have gone up or down in price from the last time they viewed them. Most importantly I implemented a screen where users could see the comfort level of their seat when they are prompted to choose one.
The final deliverable was to create a designed interface of one of the proposed paths in my content map that was based off of my determined users needs.
