The first step in my approach of this project was to research everything there was to know about The Ogden Theater. Its history, its community, its competition, and of course what purposes it serves now. I took the information I gathered and created its mission statement and values, which turned into my core creative concept: History embraced in an intimate space. I took my concept and combined it with The Ogden’s Theaters own history to create the logo I have now. The typeface of the word “Ogden” is reminiscent to the original stained glass work that was on the facade of the building.
The expected outcome of this project was to manifest the logo, create its brand guidelines including: primary and secondary logos, reverse versions, clear space, minimum size, color palette, typefaces, and applications of where the logo would be applied to using the brand guidelines that we had created.
Below are conceptual applications of the brand guidelines that I created. It features social media presence, web branding applications as well as print applications.
